How we measure AI visibility.
AI recommendation answers are variable. A credible report must show exactly what was tested, when it was tested, and which conclusions are observations versus hypotheses.
Report protocol

| Buying prompts | Ten high-intent questions phrased as a local customer might ask when choosing a provider. |
| Platforms | ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. The report records the product and model label visible at the time of testing. |
| Repeat count | Each prompt is checked three times per platform, producing 90 total observations. |
| Location | The target city or service area is included in the question or testing context and recorded in the report. |
| Browsing state | The report states whether browsing, search, maps, or cited web sources were available or enabled. |
| Recommendation evidence | Business appearances, order, wording, citations, and recurring competitors are documented. |
| Signal review | Website, business profile, reviews, directories, crawlability, and clearly labeled owned/earned coverage are reviewed. |
| Interpretation | Observed evidence is separated from likely contributors and unproven hypotheses. |
What the score means
Any report score is a summary of this dated test set, not a universal ranking. It helps compare visibility across the chosen prompts and platforms. It cannot prove how every future customer or model will see the business.
Limitations
- Answers can vary by platform, model, prompt wording, location, account state, browsing state, and date.
- Sources and citations can change without notice.
- Correlation does not prove that one profile, page, review, or directory caused a recommendation.
- No outside provider can guarantee or control an AI recommendation.

Review and correction
If a business identifies a factual error in its report, 1ManOS will review the supporting evidence and correct confirmed mistakes. Questions can be sent by replying to the delivery email.
